Turn what you know
into freedom.

Most people have a skill, a passion or a knowledge that others would pay for. Skool is the platform that lets you build a community around it and get paid to do what you love, from anywhere in the world.

๐ŸŒ

Work from anywhere

Run your community from a beach in Bali or your kitchen table. All you need is wifi and something worth sharing.

๐Ÿ’ฐ

Real income potential

Skool communities can charge monthly memberships, run paid programs and earn affiliate income. All in one place.

๐Ÿค

People, not algorithms

No fighting an algorithm. No ads. Just real people who want to learn from you and connect with each other.

โšก

Fast to set up

You can have a live community in 3 days. No coding, no complicated tech. If you can use Facebook, you can use Skool.

Your step-by-step roadmap

Every community starts with one idea.

You do not need a huge following. You do not need to be a guru. You just need one thing you know that other people want to learn.

That could be fitness, cooking, photography, trading, parenting, travel, language learning, business, mindset โ€” anything. If you have learned something the hard way, someone out there wants the shortcut.

๐Ÿง  Good community ideas come from...

  • A skill you use in your job
  • A hobby you are passionate about
  • A problem you solved yourself
  • Something people already ask you about
  • A transformation you went through

โš ๏ธ The most common mistake

Waiting until the idea feels perfect. It never will. The best communities are built by people who started before they felt ready and figured it out as they went.

One question to answer first.

Before you move to the next step, write down your answer to this:

"I help [who?] to [what result?] so they can [what freedom or outcome?]"

Example: I help busy moms lose weight after pregnancy so they can feel confident and energetic again.

Clarity before you build anything.

Before you touch a single setting in Skool, get these three things crystal clear. This is what separates communities that grow from communities that go quiet.

1. Who is it for?

Be specific. Not "everyone who wants to get fit." Try "men over 40 who want to lose their first 10kg without giving up the food they love." The more specific you are, the easier it is for the right people to say yes.

2. Free or paid?

โœ… Start free if...

  • You have no audience yet
  • You want to build trust first
  • You want to test your idea
  • You plan to add paid tiers later

๐Ÿ’ฐ Start paid if...

  • You already have an audience
  • You have strong social proof
  • Your offer is very specific
  • You have 100% conviction it works

When in doubt, start free or freemium. You can always add paid tiers once people are inside and love what you do.

3. Your one-line promise.

This goes on your About page. It is the first thing people see. Make it about them, not about you.

"I help [who] become/get [result] in [timeframe or by doing what]."

Day 1 and 2: Build the room.

Keep it simple. You are not building a university. You are building a room worth showing up to. Here is everything you actually need before you open the doors.

Your About page

This is your shop window. It needs to be clear, personal and speak directly to the person you want inside.

  • โ†’ Start with your one-line promise (from Get Clear)
  • โ†’ Say who it is for in plain language
  • โ†’ List 4 to 6 specific things they get
  • โ†’ Add one line of social proof or your personal story
  • โ†’ End with a clear call to action

Your community structure

  • โ†’ Add 4 to 6 post categories with emojis (Wins, Questions, Intros, Tips, General)
  • โ†’ Create one Start Here classroom โ€” short and simple
  • โ†’ Record a short welcome video (60 seconds is enough)
  • โ†’ Write a pinned welcome post that tells people what to do first
  • โ†’ Set up an auto DM for new members

Your cover image

Use Canva. Keep it clean. Your name, what the community is about, and one strong visual. A real photo of you works better than any graphic.

  • โ†’ Skool community cover: 1084 x 576px
  • โ†’ About page cover: 1400 x 790px

Day 3: Open the doors.

There is no perfect moment. There is no magic launch window. Done is better than perfect. Open the doors and start inviting people in.

Your first members

  • โ†’ Write a list of 20 people you know who would benefit
  • โ†’ Send personal DMs โ€” not copy-paste, real messages
  • โ†’ Post about it on your social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • โ†’ Be active in other Skool communities so people see your name
  • โ†’ Join Join Skool to learn how to grow and get promoted

Show up every day

The first month is about energy and culture, not content volume. Post something every day โ€” even if it is short. Reply to every comment. Welcome every new member by name.

One post a day beats ten posts once a week. Always.
